Overview
Doctor Aquarium Software let you monitor and control you aquarium from
your windows desktop, or through a web browser. The program is plugin based and
supports the Firecracker X-10 computer Interface, and
DrDAQ data acquisition board. The Firecracker Interface
allows you to use standard X10 home automation modules to control electrical devices such as
lights,pumps,fans, and heaters. And the DrDAQ data acquisition board can measure pH, Room Temperature, Hood Temperature, and Aquarium Temperature
Light Levels, Sound Level, Voltage, and Resistance via on-board and external sensors
What Can Doctor Aquarium
Do ?
- Can turn on a fans if tank temperature is too high
- Simulate solar cycle by turning on lights in succession at
sunrise, and turning them off at sunset.
- Cam Simulate a lunar cycle by turning on a light at moonrise
and dimming in sync with the lunar phase
- Can sound an alarm if pH is too low, or temperature is too high
- Can measure pH, Room Temperature, Hood Temperature, and Aquarium Temperature
Light Levels, Sound Level, Voltage, and Resistance via DrDAQ sensors.
- Can continiously log aquarium sensor data to a file
- Can continiously graph live aquarium sensor data, to daily, weekly, and monthly graphs
- Can simulate wave action by cycling pumps or
create storm and current surge effects by switching on pumps
- Can turn off pumps at feeding time automatically
- Can launch another application or issue a shell command in response to tank conditions
- Can mirror natural temperature cycle
